What exactly is calisthenics? Calisthenics is about putting all body parts to work while allowing you to freely develop powerful skills. The word originally deriving from the Greeks, Calisthenics is self-explanatory and has been adopted into sports: it is about making use of your own physical beauty (gr. ‘kalos’) and strength (gr. ‘sthenos’).

USING YOUR BODYWEIGHT

The workout is defined by slow, concentrated movements. Since it focuses on your bodyweight only, it can be practiced anywhere at any time - out-, as well as indoors - which makes you and your workout schedule more flexible and the weight you move constant without using additional accessories or weight.

ALSO GREAT FOR BEGINNERS

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced athlete, our instructors teach you the most basic exercises including pull-ups, push-ups, dips, hanging leg raises or squats. Once you develop further skills, our instructors further guide you to reach higher goals which can include flying through the air, the human flag, as well as performing handstands on bars and making your environment your perfect ground to workout on. All you need is your own body and optionally a bar, which can be found even on playgrounds. Thereby, it unleashes your inner child by returning you back to your childhood memories.

THE DIFFERENCE TO CLASSIC WORKOUTS

What makes callisthenics different from classic workouts at the gym is its most natural form of physical training, a functional workout with your own bodyweight, which offers a lot of variety and thus increases and improves your coordination ability.

FROM NEW YORK TO ABU DHABI

First emerging in New York at the turn of the century, where it is known as Street-Workout which totally relies on bodyweight worked on a bar only, Calisthenics has also gained popularity in the UAE. Over the last few years, it has spread across the UAE and due to its effective way in training your muscles without need of special machines but merely through working your own body weight, it has established itself as a new and fun way to practice sports basically everywhere with minimal equipment.

No matter your level of fitness, Calisthenics can be practiced by everybody, whether you join with or without previous experience.
